Accessibility statement

This statement describes how accessible this website is. On the pages the automated audit covers, the site has no known violations against the rule set the audit uses. That claim rests on a measurement whose limits are stated plainly below; no claim of full conformance is made for criteria a machine cannot measure.

What the assessment is based on

The software this site is built on ships with an automated accessibility audit. The audit runs axe-core with only the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rule tags enabled. Its scope: all thirty designs of the software, in both languages (Turkish and English), at two screen widths (1440×900 desktop and 390×844 phone); on each design the home page, the publication list, the contact page and the three academic-record pages (supervision, funding, datasets) — 24 scans per design — plus the administration panel. The findings below are the results recorded on 29 August 2026.

The limit of that measurement is stated plainly: automated tools can only check part of the criteria. Whether an alternative text really describes its image, whether the keyboard order makes sense, or whether a sentence read out by a screen reader is understandable cannot be settled by a machine. No independent expert audit and no user testing with assistive technology has been carried out for this site. Nor does the audit cover every type of page: publication, news, event, course and project detail pages, and the gallery, CV and search pages, are outside the automated scan — there may be findings there that have not been reported yet.

Known exceptions

In the audit recorded on 29 August 2026, no findings are reported on the covered pages under the rule set used. The colour-contrast, target-size and definition-list findings reported by earlier audits were all resolved on that date, and the fixes were verified by re-measurement.

Two areas are out of scope: PDFs and similar documents uploaded to the site are the author's original files and their internal accessibility (tagging, reading order) has not been examined; embedded third-party content (video players, maps) is under the control of its own providers.
