Prof. Dr. Academic
Research on organisational behaviour, strategic management and digital transformation
Biography
The site owner is a faculty member in Management and Organisation at the Department of Business Administration, Example University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in organisational psychology and a doctorate in strategic management with a dissertation titled “Strategic Decision-Making under Uncertainty”.
Her research concentrates on four interlocking themes: organisational behaviour (in particular psychological safety and team learning), strategic management (dynamic capabilities and strategic renewal), digital transformation (how technology reshapes work design and management practice) and leadership studies (distributed and shared leadership). She is known for mixed-methods designs that combine qualitative field work with quantitative survey research.
In addition to articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, she has authored three books and numerous book chapters. She has led and contributed to several funded research projects and has supervised many graduate theses. Alongside her academic work she advises public and private organisations on digital transformation and organisational design.
Research approach
This work aims to bridge theory and practice. Her field studies typically rely on longitudinal case studies and multi-wave survey designs, and findings are translated into conceptual frameworks that managers can use in everyday decisions.
“A good management theory should help us see the reality of the people who work in organisations more clearly.”
Research statement
A single question sits at the centre of my research agenda: how do organisations learn and renew themselves under uncertainty? I approach it on three levels: the behaviour of individuals and teams, organisational design and strategic renewal, and the transformative effect of technology across all of these layers.
- The role of psychological safety and team learning in digital transformation projects
- The micro-foundations of dynamic capabilities
- Distributed leadership in hybrid work arrangements
Teaching statement
My courses combine case-based learning, field projects and reflective writing. The goal is not only that students learn concepts, but that they can apply them to real organisational problems and develop their own managerial judgement.
