Abstract

Using a two-wave survey of 42 teams delivering digital transformation projects, this study examines how psychological safety shapes team learning and project outcomes. Psychological safety strengthened learning behaviour most strongly in project phases characterised by high uncertainty, and this relationship was moderated by the team leader’s tolerance for error. The paper contributes to a theoretical conversation that treats digital transformation as a social learning process rather than a purely technical one.
